Meow Mix Mayhem
Meow Mix Mayhem is a tower defense game made in Unity. It is a browser game made originally for University GameDev League 2022. In Meow Mix Mayhem, your goal is to defend your base against invading rats by placing cat band members strategically along a predetermined route. Every cat adds an instrument to the track that is playing; in the beginning there is only one cat, DJ Nya, with their static DJ track. Once you have all cat band members, they are playing a fully in-house made track full of saxophone, bass, guitar and drums.
In Meow Mix Mayhem, I worked as an art lead in charge of keeping our style consistent and coming up with the “towers”. All of the cats in the game are based on the development team's real life cats! My tasks were to animate the cats, make chibi shop sprites for them and draw talk sprites for our main character, DJ Nya. My main softwares were Clip Studio Paint to animate and Photoshop for tweaks.
